Seungmin Lee is a criminal law specialist. Before joining Lee & Ko in 2023, he served at major police investigation departments at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and Gangnam Police Station where he gained valuable hands-on experience in investigatory practices. He had also previously worked as corporate counsel for large corporations and has extensive corporate law experience.

From 2015 to 2023, Mr. Lee held various positions at departments within the Korean National Police Agency that handle criminal investigations. More specifically, he served as the Team Leader of the Intellectual Criminal Investigation Bureau and later Investigation Reviewer at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, Deputy Team Leader of the Financial Crime Investigation Team at the Gangnam Police Station, superintendent of the investigation and criminal teams at police stations located in Seoul and Incheon, and Chief Detective at the Korean National Police Agency. Throughout his police career, he handled numerous criminal cases involving white-collar crimes related to finance, anti-corruption, and corporate criminal matters as well as narcotics, sexual, violent, defamation, and voice phishing offenses.

Prior to his law enforcement career, he worked for seven years at legal departments of large corporations where he handled a variety of corporate law matters, including matters relating to personal information, trade secrets, telecommunications, e-commerce, copyright, mergers and acquisitions.
