Jonghyuk Won is a Patent Attorney joined LEE & KO IP based on his 25 years of experience and expertise in chemistry, bio, and healthcare with the Korean Intellectual Property Office(KIPO), the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board(IPTAB) and the Patent Court in connection with intellectual property rights, focusing on inventions in chemistry, bio, and healthcare.

During his tenure at the KIPO as an examiner, examiner, referee, referee-in-chief, patent court technical examiner, and head of the examination division (medical technology, environmental technology, residential life, and biohealthcare), Mr. Won was selected by KIPO colleagues as the best manager they would like to work with. He has contributed to the establishment of various policies and institutional improvements in the chemical and bio-intellectual property fields, including the improvement of the patent microorganism deposit system, amendments for the presentation of nucleotied and amino acid sequence listings, and the establishment of a practical guide for examination in the bio field.
