More specifically, we have advised all the major banks in Korea (e.g., the Korea Development Bank, Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, Woori Bank, Shinhan Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea), international banks (e.g., Calyon, Standard Chartered Bank, Société Générale, Mizuho), credit agencies (Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-Sure), K-EXIM) and private equity funds (e.g., Macquaire, Mirae Asset, KB Asset Management, Atinum Partners, etc.). Lee & Ko has been actively involved in numerous domestic and cross-border projects in industries such as power (including independent power projects, cogeneration, nuclear, wind, solar and other alternative power), waste disposal and recycling water treatment, mining and natural resources, transportation (including airports, rail, roads) and other types of infrastructure. More specifically, Lee & Ko is also currently involved in projects in connection with a hydroelectric power plant in Nepal, a wind power generation plant in Jamaica, nuclear power plants in Jordan and Turkey and Shaanxi Bluebirdme Biomass power plant & Shandong GS-EPS Biomass power plant. In all, Lee & Ko has been involved in more than 100 project finance & infrastructure transactions during the last year. The total financing amount for these deals is more than KRW 8 Trillion (approximately USD 8 Billion). The recent worldwide trend towards alternative energy has also impacted Korea and as a result, we have witnessed an increase in projects relating to alternative energy. As an example, during the past year, Lee & Ko has participated in more than 30 projects relating to solar power plants and wind power generation plants, with a total financing amount equal to approximately KRW 500 Billion (approximately USD 500 Million).
