Lee & Ko is one of the preeminent firms in project finance & infrastructure in Korea. Lee & Ko’s project finance & infrastructure Practice Group has been involved in a great majority of major project finance & infrastructure deals that have closed in Korea in recent years. For more than twenty years, Lee & Ko has represented the full spectrum of project participants, including credit providers, underwriters, advisors, sponsors, project joint ventures, insurers, contractors, government agencies and multilateral institutions. More specifically, we have advised all the major banks in Korea (e.g., the Korea Development Bank, Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, Woori Bank, Shinhan Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea), international banks (e.g., Calyon, Standard Chartered Bank, Société Générale, Mizuho), credit agencies (Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-Sure), K-EXIM) and private equity funds (e.g., Macquaire, Mirae Asset, KB Asset Management, Atinum Partners, etc.). We also have a strong client base on the sponsor side and have advised all the major Korean construction companies (GS Construction, Hyundai Development Company, POSCO Construction, Samsung C&T, Daelim Industrial, Hyundai Construction, Lotte Construction, Doosan Construction, etc.) and developers in both overseas and domestic projects.

Lee & Ko has been actively involved in numerous domestic and cross-border projects in industries such as power (including independent power projects, cogeneration, nuclear, wind, solar and other alternative power), waste disposal and recycling water treatment, mining and natural resources, transportation (including airports, rail, roads) and other types of infrastructure.
