Jiwoong Lim is a partner and a co-head of International Litigation Group. He has been advising prominent domestic and foreign clients in connection with various domestic and cross-border disputes. He was previously a transactional lawyer for the first 10 years of his career in the areas of capital markets, derivatives, structured finance, asset management, mergers and acquisition of financial institutions, financial compliance, insolvency and restructuring before becoming a judge in Korea. While serving on the bench for several years, Mr. Lim was engaged in deliberating and making judgments on civil, criminal and administrative cases in Korean courts. After joining Lee & Ko, Mr. Lim has focused his practice in the area of dispute resolution such as litigation (and arbitration) in connection with international business transactions and other financial transactions.

With his uniquely combined expertise in various business transactions (in connection with corporate, banking and finance, insolvency and restructuring, etc.) and other related disputes, together with his judicial experience in Korea, Mr. Lim handles some of the most complex disputes in Korea for foreign clients as well as cross-border litigation in foreign jurisdictions for leading Korean companies.
