Seung Hak Shin is a member of our Customs Group. He advises on customs and trade related matters with special focus on inspections and investigations of foreign exchange transactions, customs violations, corporate investigations, FTA investigations, operation of bonded area and product classifications. Mr. Shin worked at various Customs Offices within Korea for more than 22 years, including Seoul Customs, Incheon Customs, Incheon Airport Customs, Busan Customs, Gwangju Customs and Jeju Customs where he had handled, among other responsibilities, general customs administration work. In particular, Mr. Shin served as an investigation specialist and possesses in-depth expertise in foreign exchange investigations and investigations relating to customs violations. Prior to joining Lee & Ko, Mr. Shin worked at Deloitte Customs Korea where he advised on matters relating to client representations in customs investigations, inspection of foreign exchange transactions, corporate investigations, FTA investigations, customs and foreign exchange transaction system (including the review of legality before taxation), formal objection and request for trial.
